My name is Xiaoran Xu(εΎη¬ηΆ), currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Technology at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), jointly supervised by the School of Advanced Interdisciplinary Sciences (SAIS) and the Institute of Automation (CASIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the guidance of Professor Xiaoshan Yang.
My research centers on open-world scene understanding, enabling machines to understand, interpret, and reason about complex, dynamic, and open-ended environments. I focus on advancing open-vocabulary recognition, multi-modal learning, and object detection in diverse scenarios.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I completed my Bachelorβs degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology at Lanzhou University. I then conducted research at the Communication Center, Institute of Microelectronics, CAS, advised by Professor Jian Liu. At present, I am pursuing my doctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of Multimodal Artificial Intelligence Systems, Institute of Automation, CAS.
